Got back all the papers.
Bs and Cs and sadly, one D.
I'm so demoralised- no As! D:
School has been totally slack.
We're just a pile of slacking.. goo?
Since my blouse is so badly torn, (it has four large rips along the left side, which cannot be sewn back) I went to parkway to withdraw money first then to City plaza. And there was a fat little ATM machine sitting in the centre of the first floor. Great.
The shirt is like 582 times too big for me, but "it's the smallest I have" and "Five dollars only lah" convinced me. I discovered how funny the buttons are and how the first button is sewn so high. I'm going to look like a nerd, ty. Nvm, just one more year.
Today had a lot of Nvms.
"Nvm, we don't take combined science."
"Nvm, I don't have tuition."
and also "Nvm, can't be bothered la."
First two are obviously from Abigail(:
City Plaza is so terribly planned out. I got lost amidst all the billion clothes shops. Which all seem to be selling the same clothes, so imagine me. And alot of them try to con money by selling an ordinary top for like Forty something. Then when you see something else, they tell you that they'll reduce the price if you buy both? The first shirt now only costs like 30 bucks.
Wow, smart uh these people.
Well, the most interesting thing that you'll probably like to hear about me is that i'm going to apply for IB.
And no, i'm smarter than SOME people, so SJI(I) is out. ASC(I) is in:D
This is all thanks to Daphne Tessa who insisted on me applying there when she heard I was going for DSA tryouts. Oh but don't think too far- i'm applying through DSA to a couple of schools(:
OF course, Vj and Tj are out so I shall not compete with Gnatasha:D And all the smarter dancers. Well, that gives me a certain confidence. Something tells me that I can make it(:
And I just got the IB application form from Daphne..
It's fcking scary.
Sec 3 overall results, Sec four semester one results, PSLE score (who cares anymore.), and like photocopies of EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF PAPER OMG. Based on that alone, they can kick me out. Last year's results were atrocious.
Plus, 20 fee is required. Haha, moneyface!
And they dont want ordinary academic stuff, they want "Special Academic Awards and Achievements".
Finally, I thank all the science and mathes teachers who gave me the chance to participate in the horrible, time consuming Australian Maths Competition(s) and Rio Tinto Big Science competition(s). :D Abigail, it's time you start applying also okay. Hahahaa.
An essay has to be written on a social issue, or omgoodness,
"Evaluate your academic interests and personal strengths and write how you think you can contribute to the ASC(I) IBDP community."
I've just went back and italicised some words.
Okay, I can do that for others but not myself(: I do not like to lie about my hidden strengths that no one knows about.
Somehow, I'm sorry about I don't like the sound of the word "diploma". Even if it's an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Yes.
Back to Tkgs.
Some JCs are giving a JC talk tomorrow. Since it's a class-by-class thing, and JCs "choose which class they think most students would go to" (as Mrs C phrased it), I bet Serangoon JC would come talk to us. And Vj and Tj and Rj and HCI would go to 4/6 and 4/7. Haha oh wait, maybe we'll get Innova also? And Yishun and Pioneer and um, Jurong?? I dont know.
Oh man)':
There are certain topics that I cannot study without squirming.
I'm sure all of you readers would know that one of them is the Eye topic.
About the cholera and everything. I simply cannot reduce my vision to a mixture of proteins and liquid. And if when I think of it being dissected, I can just faint.
The newest topic is Sexual Reproduction in Humans.
But, I'm such a Bio stud. Contradicting, much?
The part isn't on how the ACTUAL reproduction takes place I suppose. (not even at HIVs)
I get freaked out by the biology behind pregnancy, and knowing that my body rips off a portion of flesh every month, as Mr peh rightly put it. It's like losing an arm every month! D:
And that once a single little thing goes wrong, my life is in danger.
Once implantation doesn't take place at the uterus, the baby'll have to be aborted. Once is develops, your fallopian tube BURSTS (omg so traumatising!) and I die.
Once the cell division doesn't take place properly, your baby is deformed.
Once you're stressed, your hypothalamus produces the stress hormone which in turns affects other hormones which might cause a natural abortion.
Or once you don't have enough progesterone ... ...
Okay, i'm sure you get the idea.
Sometimes, it's better not to study biology. I think i'll study myself during labour. And look at all the screens (contraction patterns etc). And ask the doctor every ten seconds whats going on down there. I'll freak the doctor out with my endless curiosity, instead of focusing on "PUSHHH"ing and screaming my lungs out.
Haha okay, labour is a traumatising thought.
But I want to have kids, hot kids at that!, so I must live through it once. Or twice. Or Thrice.
(:
I LOVE DAVID COOK:D
